Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to initiatives that strengthen the financial sector and support sustainable economic growth.

Governor Radda was represented by his Special Adviser on Banking and Finance, Hon. Bilkisu Sulaiman Ibrahim, at the 19th Annual Banking and Finance Conference organised by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

The two-day conference, themed “Building a Resilient Economy in the Era of Disruptions: Strategic Imperatives for the Banking and Financial Services Industry,” brought together policymakers, banking executives, development partners and other key stakeholders to discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in Nigeria’s financial sector.

Hosted by the President and Chairman of Council of CIBN, Dr. Dele Alabi, the conference provided a platform for discussions on policies and strategies required to build a more resilient economy and position the banking industry to respond effectively to changing economic realities.

Other participants included representatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Central Bank of Nigeria, the World Bank, as well as the governments of Lagos, Yobe and Delta states.

Katsina State’s participation reflects Governor Radda’s drive to strengthen engagement with financial institutions and explore opportunities that can support investment, enterprise development and sustainable economic growth in the state.
