    @Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed

    Thank You, Baba Garkuwa.

Some lives are measured not by the number of years they have lived, but by the countless lives they have touched, the communities they have transformed, and the enduring legacies they leave behind.

Yesterday i was on transit when Hon. Lawal Danyari Abdulaziz (Baba Garkuwa) celebrated his 60th birthday, He is indeed a personality worth celebrating. We celebrated not only a milestone of age but a lifetime of selfless service, visionary leadership, and an unwavering commitment to the people of Malumfashi and Katsina State.

For six remarkable decades, your journey has been defined by humility, sacrifice, and an unshakable belief in the power of service.

Through every responsibility entrusted to you, your greatest strength has never been the office you occupied, but the people you served with sincerity, compassion, and dedication.

One of the qualities that sets Baba Garkuwa apart is his extraordinary love for Malumfashi.

Whether it is a government function, a wedding, naming ceremony, funeral, turbaning ceremony, or any community gathering, he is always present. He celebrates with his people in moments of joy and stands beside them in times of grief.

His presence has never been about protocol or recognition. It has always been about belonging, compassion, and genuine service.

In the three years that I have had the privilege of knowing Baba Garkuwa, one thing has remained constant—his unwavering passion for Malumfashi and his relentless desire to see the town continue to grow and prosper.

His love for the community is expressed not merely through words, but through actions that continue to speak for themselves.

As the former Executive Chairman of Malumfashi Local Government, Baba Garkuwa did more than administer a local government.

He laid the foundation for a modern Malumfashi, envisioning a town that would continue to grow long after his tenure. He transformed that vision into projects that continue to improve the lives of thousands of people today.

One memory, in particular, remains unforgettable.

During our journey from Funtua to Katsina last year, as we approached Malumfashi, my boss, Maiwada, pointed toward a shopping complex overlooking the major road. With great admiration, he identified it as one of the enduring legacies of Baba Garkuwa’s administration.

It was a simple moment, yet a powerful reminder that true leadership leaves visible footprints long after public office has ended.

That shopping complex is only one chapter of a much greater story.

Across Malumfashi, the schools, healthcare facilities, commercial structures, and other public infrastructure initiated during his administration continue to stand as living monuments to visionary leadership.

Anyone travelling through the town can still witness the lasting impact of his foresight and commitment. These projects remain enduring symbols of a leader who governed with vision, purpose, and genuine concern for his people.

    True leadership never goes unnoticed.

It is therefore no surprise that his wealth of experience, integrity, and proven capacity earned him another call to serve. Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda appointed him as a Permanent Commissioner of the Katsina State Local Government Service Commission.

The appointment reflected confidence in his exceptional leadership and his ability to strengthen local government administration while supporting the Governor’s Building Your Future Agenda.

Since assuming office, Baba Garkuwa has continued to serve with integrity, professionalism, dedication, and exemplary commitment.

Your story reminds us that leadership is never measured by titles alone.

It is measured by the lives improved, the opportunities created, the institutions strengthened, and the hope inspired in future generations.

As you celebrate this Diamond Jubilee, we join your family, friends, colleagues, and the entire people of Malumfashi in thanking you for your sacrifices, wisdom, resilience, and lifelong dedication to humanity.

Your story continues to inspire us, and your legacy continues to shape the future of our community.

May Almighty Allah (SWT) bless you with sound health, long life, abundant barakah, and continued wisdom.

May He grant you the strength to keep serving humanity and our beloved Katsina State with the same passion, humility, and excellence that have defined your remarkable journey.

Your achievements are celebrated today, but your legacy will continue to inspire generations yet unborn.

    Happy 60th Birthday, Baba Garkuwa.

Malumfashi will forever remember your sacrifices, your vision, and your enduring commitment to building a modern, peaceful, and prosperous community. Your journey of service continues, and your story is far from over.

Allah Ya ja kwananka cikin koshin lafiya, yalwar arziki, albarka, da ci gaba da hidimtawa al’umma. Allah ya ƙara maka hikima, ƙarfi, da nasara a dukkan al’amuranka.
