    In a demonstration of mutual respect, institutional cooperation, and a shared commitment to strengthening the welfare and unity of officers, the newly elected Honorary President of the Police Officers’ Mess Committee, Engr. Ekpenyong Ekpenyong and his team paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command.

    A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Timfon John said the visit was aimed at formally introducing the newly elected Honorary President and members of his leadership to the Commissioner of Police, while reaffirming their commitment to fostering a cordial and productive working relationship with the Command’s leadership.

    During the meeting, Engr. Ekpenyong Ekpenyong expressed profound appreciation to the Commissioner of Police for his exemplary leadership, unwavering dedication to the safety of lives and property, and his continued support for initiatives that promote the welfare, unity, and professionalism of police officers. He assured the Commissioner of the Mess Committee’s readiness to work closely with the Command in advancing programmes that will enhance officers’ morale, and promote the cherished values of discipline, integrity, and service.

    The Commissioner of Police warmly received the delegation and congratulated Engr. Ekpenyong Ekpenyong on his emergence as the Honorary President of the Police Officers’ Mess Committee. He described the office as one that carries significant responsibility in promoting unity and harmony.

    The CP emphasized that effective policing thrives in an atmosphere of collaboration, mutual trust, and shared responsibility. He encouraged the new leadership of the Mess Committee to remain committed to initiatives that foster unity among officers and contribute meaningfully to the overall effectiveness of the Command.

    The Commissioner further reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to maintaining an open-door policy and pledged continued support for genuine initiatives that promote professionalism, discipline, officers’ welfare, and institutional development.

    The visit concluded with goodwill exchanges and a collective resolve to sustain a strong partnership anchored on mutual respect, cooperation, and a shared vision of building a more motivated, disciplined, and service-oriented Police Force for the benefit of the people of Akwa Ibom State.
