The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, commenced the day in Kaduna with a stakeholders’ meeting on the second tranche recruitment of 1,800 Primary Health Care staff, held at the Conference Hall of the State Primary Health Care Board (SPHCB) Headquarters.
A statement signed by Ishaq Galadima Chief press secretary office of the chairman said the meeting provided an opportunity to further engage on efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state. The Chairman acknowledged the continued commitment of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani CON, noting that 1,800 health workers were also recruited last year, reflecting sustained attention to human resources in the health sector.
Following the engagement in Kaduna, the Chairman proceeded to Makarfi Local Government Area, accompanied by contractors and members of his dedicated team. There, he participated in the formal handover of the project sites to the contractors for the commencement of construction of male and female hostels at Shehu Idris College of Health Sciences, Makarfi.
From there, the team proceeded to Government Secondary School (GSS) Commercial, Makarfi, where the project site was also formally handed over to the contractors for the construction of a block of 12 classrooms on one suspended floor, complete with toilets and offices, alongside the comprehensive renovation of the school.
The two interventions are being facilitated by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, GCON, as part of his continued commitment to developmental projects across Kaduna State, particularly in education and infrastructure.
Upon completion of the Makarfi engagements, the Chairman returned to Zaria, where he received a series of stakeholder visits.
He first received a courtesy visit from the Gamayyar Kungiyar Zawara Iya Support Group, appreciating their continued engagement and support.
The Chairman subsequently received the Hafsat Uba Sani Birni da Karkara Initiative, led by its Director-General, Hajiya Aisha Idris. During the visit, the initiative appointed the Chairman as its Adviser and expressed its support for the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Uba Sani, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, and its other party candidates. The Chairman appreciated the confidence reposed in him and pledged his support for the initiative.
The day’s engagements concluded with a visit from the leadership of Fityanul Islam, Zaria Local Government, led by Malam Abdulrauf Shehu Tasi.
