The Kaduna State Commissioner of Police Muhammad Rabiu Yusuf has given assurance that the Command will work assiduously with other security agencies to safeguard the state.
The Commissioner stated this while briefing newsmen on the achievements recorded by the command in the last two weeks in the state.
He announced that men of the command have successfully undertaken an operation on the 26th July, 2026, at about 2345 hours, where the Command received a distress call reporting that suspected bandits and cattle rustlers had attacked Damanko Village in Zaria Local Government Area, rustling forty-four (80) cattle and ten (10) sheep.
Muhammad Rabiu Yusuf said upon receipt of the report, patrol teams from Kofan Gayan Division swiftly mobilized to the scene. While approaching the village, the patrol team encountered the fleeing suspects and engaged them in a fierce gun duel
According to him, the superior firepower of the Police forced the criminals to abandon all the rustled livestock and flee into the surrounding bush. Consequently, all 80 cattle and 10 sheep were successfully recovered.
He however said unfortunately, the two owners of the livestock sustained gunshot injuries inflicted by the attackers before the arrival of the Police, and were promptly evacuated to a medical facility, where they are currently receiving treatment.
Similarly the CP further said on 28th July, 2026, operatives of the Command’s Anti-Car Theft Section, acting on credible intelligence, carried out a coordinated operation that led to the discovery of a store in Zaria, Kaduna State.
Muhammad Rabiu Yusuf maintained that during a thorough search of the premises, the operatives recovered 190 pieces of solar inverters valued at approximately ₦69 million and 10 lithium batteries valued at about ₦9 million.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that the recovered items are suspected to have been stolen from a container destined for zaria during transit” he added.
The recovered items have been taken into police custody, while investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend those responsible for the theft, establish the ownership of the recovered property, and unravel the criminal network involved in the movement and distribution of the suspected stolen goods.
In another development,on 31st July 2026, credible intelligence was received regarding the activities of individuals allegedly supplying hard drugs to bandits operating around Kasuwar Magani Town.

The operation led to the arrest of two suspects identified as Alex Odoh, male, 36 years old, and Daniel Eze, male, 35 years old.
He explained that during the operation, the police recovered a large quantity of hard drugs worth millions of naira while during preliminary investigation, both suspects confessed to their involvement in the illegal supply of hard drugs to bandits.
Investigation is ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the criminal network.
