An aspirant for the Kano Central Senatorial seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkarim Zaura(A.A.Zaura) says he is confident of winning the election for the position, come 2027.

The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) had slated January 16,2027 for the conduct of Presidential and National Assembly Elections including the senatorial poll.

Zaura made the remark when he paid a visit to the APC state Secretariat on Sunday as part of his aspiration for the Kano Central Senatorial Seat.

“We are here today to say that we are ready for the contest for the Kano Central Senatorial seat, under the most powerful and most influential party in the country.

“God willing, we have all it takes to make a difference and we shall succeed. In Kano, we are battle ready and we have a very strong team at the helm of our party’s affairs. We shall come back here just like we are here now to celebrate APC’s success from top to bottom,” he said.

Earlier, the leader of the A.A. Zaura campaign team, Yau “Yanshana, a former Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, said, “We are all out to make the difference. Zaura is the man to salvage the situation in Kano Central.

“He is the right man for the seat with a strong team to salvage the people of Kano Central from what they have been going through all these years,” “Yanshana said.

Welcoming the aspirant, the APC State Chairman, Umar Haruna Doguwa, said the party would win all elective positions in the 2027 general elections.

“We have already achieved nine out of 10 issues to win the election. The caliber of people I see in this entourage is exceptional, people that are trustworthy and reliable in grassroot politics.

“We will ensure that we do the needful for someone who has quality and integrity. You will be given the chance to contest,”Doguwa added.

Zaura was accompanied on the visit by hundreds of party supporters and loyalists drawn from the Kano Central Senatorial Zone.
