    NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT TO INCLUDE RECONSTRUCTION OF IBETO-SALKA-AUNA ROAD IN 2027 BUDGET

    Niger State governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has disclosed that the State government will include the reconstruction of the Ibeto-Salka-Auna road in the 2027 budget.

    A statement signed by Bologi Ibrahim Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State, said the farmer governor disclosed this in Kontagora during a community engagement with stakeholders from Magama Local Government Area.

    Farmer Umaru Bago said the project is part of his administration’s resolve to transform road infrastructure across the State.

    The farmer governor who appreciated the people of Magama for their support to his administration reassured them of more dividends of democracy.

    Farmer Bago also disclosed that the electrification project along Magama axis was halted due to the activities of vandals and assured them that work will soon resume .

    On the issue of insecurity, the farmer governor revealed that plans are underway to recruit 1,000 people from Magama into the local Vigilante corps to enhance security in the area .

    He also disclosed that the State government will renovate schools in the area and transform boarding to day schools as a safety measure for students.

    Farmer Umaru Bago used the medium to call on the people to be security conscious as security of lives is a consultative responsibility .

    Leader of the delegation and former deputy Governor, Niger State, Amb. Ahmed Musa Ibeto appreciated the farmer governor for all his support to the people of Magama over the years.

    He acknowledged the farmer governor to be a visionary leader who has been fair to the people of Magama through some of his people oriented policies and reassured him of their continued support.

    Also speaking, permanent secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports development, Dr. Garba Nuhu Ngaski, commended the farmer governor for his efforts in addressing insecurity and appealed for the quick completion of the establishment of a Forward Operating Base FOB.
