    NIGERIAN ARMY COMMENCES CAPTAIN TO MAJOR WRITTEN PROMOTION EXAMINATION 2026 AT THE NIGERIAN ARMY SCHOOL OF SUPPLY AND TRANSPORT BENIN CITY

    The Nigerian Army has commenced Captain to Major Written Promotion Examination 2026 at the Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport, Benin City, on 10 May 2026.

    A statement signed by Felicia Daniel, acting assistant director army public relations, training and doctrine command, Nigerian Army said the examination is being conducted by the Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army and will run till 15 May 2026.

    Addressing members of the Directing Staff and candidates, the Examination President, Major General Peter Malla, emphasized that the examination is a key requirement for promotion to the rank of Major in the Nigerian Army.

    Speaking on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, Major General Malla congratulated the candidates for reaching a significant milestone in their career. He urged them to approach the examination with diligence, integrity, and professionalism, stressing that success can only be achieved through adequate preparation and hard work. Candidates were reminded that any form of malpractice would attract strict disciplinary measures. He assured them that the process would be conducted transparently and in line with the Nigerian Army Charter for Promotion Examinations 2022 (Revised).

    In concluding his address, the Examination President reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Army to professionalism, excellence, and merit-based career progression. He urged all candidates to remain disciplined, focused, and determined throughout the examination period, and wished them success in the examinations.

    The event was attended by Major General Sunday Makolo who represented the Chief of Training (Army), Brigadier General Ahmed Balogun (representative of the General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army), Major General Adebayo Adegbite, Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport, and other dignitaries.
