Students of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Abuja Outreach Learning Centre undergoing the CTL, DTL and ADTL programmes have embarked on an educational field trip across key transport and regulatory agencies in Abuja as part of their graduation requirements.

A statement from the public relations unit of the institute said the study tour took participants to the headquarters of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, the Nigeria Customs Service and the Vehicle Inspection Office. During the visits, students explored the operational roles of each organisation within Nigeria’s transportation and logistics ecosystem.

Officials at the agencies guided the students through their facilities, offering first-hand exposure to practical processes that complement classroom learning. The tour further provided participants with deeper insight into regulatory frameworks, safety enforcement and logistics management.

The field trip continued on Wednesday, April 29, with a visit to the Nigerian Railway Corporation, where students gained further understanding of rail transport operations and infrastructure in the country.

The Director, Special Duties and Annexes, Bar. Yakubu Adamu Yakubu, led the delegation alongside the Abuja Liaison Officer, Engr. Billiaminu Inuwa, and other facilitators who supervised the exercise.
