The Chief of Staff to the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Zaria, Mal. Sani Ibrahim Wambai, on Wednesday, 21st April, 2026, convened a meeting of all members of staff in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.

A statement signed by the VC media aide Sani Lawal said the meeting, held with the full consent of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, was convened to assess staff performance, boost work morale, and reinforce commitment to professional responsibility among officers serving in the Vice-Chancellor’s office.

Addressing the meeting, Mal. Sani Ibrahim Wambai stressed the importance of mutual respect, orderliness, and strict adherence to schedules. He urged staff to avoid the overlapping of duties and to uphold established office ethics, including confidentiality, unity, and self-respect in the discharge of their responsibilities.

Contributing to the discussion, the Aide-de-Camp to the Vice-Chancellor, Abdulkarim Muhammad Haruna, underscored the need for officials to carry out their duties with diligence, noting that the image and dignity of the Vice-Chancellor’s office must at all times be upheld and respected.

Babawa Abdu, on behalf of the staff, expressed appreciation to the Chief of Staff for convening the meeting, assuring that all observations and directives would be duly noted and acted upon.

The Media Aide to the Vice-Chancellor, Sani Lawal Maqarphy, urged colleagues to be guided by the words of the Chief of Staff, the work ethics of the office, and the regulations of the university, emphasising that confidentiality and unity in the performance of duties are indispensable to the smooth running of the office.

Other officers present at the meeting included Muhammad Ibrahim Sani, Hassan Zakari, Umar Mukhtar, Suleiman Mohammed Umar, and Mohammed Usman.

The interactive meeting concluded with a collective commitment from all staff to uphold the standards and ethics of the Vice-Chancellor’s office, as outlined by the Chief of Staff. A vote of thanks was extended to Mal. Sani Ibrahim Wambai for the initiative, with officers expressing renewed dedication to professionalism, discipline, and the overall image of the university’s highest office.
