In line with the welfare priorities of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, Post-Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL) has intensified engagements with sister military organisations to explore practical areas of collaboration, particularly in land and affordable housing for military personnel.
As part of this effort, PHDL held separate engagements with Navy Holdings Limited (NHL) and Nigerian Air Force Investments Limited Properties (NAFIL Properties) in Abuja on 6 and 8 October 2026 respectively. At NHL Headquarters, Asokoro, the PHDL delegation, led by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Major General Kevin Ukandu, was received by the GMD/CEO, Rear Admiral Hamza Ibrahim, alongside principal staff officers and heads of departments.

This was contained in a statement signed by Lieutenant Augustina Nkeonye Acting Public Relations Officer, Post-Service Housing Development Limited issued to newsmen.
Speaking during the engagement, Major General Ukandu expressed appreciation for the warm reception and said the visit was part of PHDL’s efforts to strengthen relationships with sister organisations and identify areas of mutual benefit. He expressed the organisation’s readiness to collaborate, particularly in land and housing, in support of the welfare of military personnel. Responding, Rear Admiral Ibrahim appreciated PHDL for the visit and stressed the need for military establishments to maintain strong relationships rather than operate in silos. He also expressed the desire to see more initiatives targeted at military personnel, particularly in the areas of land and housing.
The engagement continued on 8 October when the PHDL delegation visited NAFIL Properties Headquarters, Wuse, where it was received by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Air Vice Marshal Razaq Olanrewaju, and other senior officers. Major General Ukandu said it was necessary for PHDL to engage sister organisations with similar mandates, while soliciting for collaboration.

He identified the joint provision of land to facilitate affordable home ownership for soldiers, airmen and airwomen as a potential area of cooperation, alongside the sharing of expertise and other mutually beneficial opportunities.
The engagements highlight PHDL’s commitment to translating the welfare focus of the COAS into practical initiatives by building stronger relationships across the Services and exploring opportunities to expand access to affordable housing for military personnel.
