The Niger State Development Forum (NSDF) has commended the executive governor of Niger State, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago for his exemplary leadership style and developmental strides in Niger State.
A statement signed by Bologi Ibrahim Chief Press Secretary to the Governor said the Forum made the stance known during a courtesy visit to the farmer governor at the Niger State Liaison Office Abuja.

Chairman of the Forum and Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammad Idris Malagi who led other members on the visit said, members are equally encouraged by his administration’s willingness to engage with the Forum and draw upon the wealth of knowledge and experience of Nigerlites in advancing the development of the State.
The Minister also revealed that the vision, determination and energy the farmer governor has brought to the State remains key factors that keeps encouraging the Forum adding that his administration’s investments in agriculture, infrastructure, urban renewal and economic development are laying important foundations for the transformation of the State.
He said the Forum remains committed to working constructively with the farmer Governor’s administration in advancing the shared aspirations of the people of Niger State.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation used the medium to thank President Tinubu for approving ₦1.5 trillion for the reconstruction and dualisation of the Lambata-Bida-Mokwa-Makera-Kontagora Federal Highway which he described as a landmark intervention in one of Nigeria’s most strategic agricultural and commercial corridors.

The Forum equally extended its heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Niger State over the unfortunate incident that led to loss of the artisanal miners and other unfortunate tragedies and security challenges experienced in some parts of the State in recent times.
Responding,the Executive governor of Niger State,farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago appreciated the forum for the visit and show of love as well as appreciated President Bola Tinubu for his immense support to Niger State.
He commended him for the ongoing road construction projects across some parts of the State including the Sokoto Badagry Super Highway which will open a corridor for agricultural prosperity for the State.
Farmer Umaru Bago while applauding the Niger State Development Forum for its leadership, expressed joy for the forum’s continuous venture in making Niger state proud.
He was also full of accolades for the Minister of Information,Mohammed Idris for his relentless efforts in Nation building.

He said the Minister has been helpful in continuously bringing out resolutions that the State is applying to implement policies for the betterment of Nigerlites
On the issue of insecurity, the farmer governor who admitted that there are some security challenges across parts of the State however are assured that the State government in collaboration with the Federal government to ensure peace.
