    The Gombe State Police Command wishes to inform the general public on its proactive security measures. The Command considers it necessary to continuously sensitise members of the public on personal and community safety.

    A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Buhari Abdullahi said in line with the Inspector-General of Police’s directive, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, to identify and intensify patrols, community engagement, and intelligence-led policing, the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Ahmed Chuso, mnips, fwc, psc(+), has strengthened patrols, intelligence-led operations, stop-and-search activities, joint security operations, expanded intelligence gathering, community engagement, and strategic deployment of personnel across flashpoints to curb criminal activities in the State. Tactical teams and divisional patrols have been placed on high alert to respond promptly to distress calls and credible intelligence.

    The Command reassures the public of its unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property and urges residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies.

    SECURITY TIPS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY

    Members of the public are advised to observe the following safety measures:

    • Be alert to suspicious persons or movements within your neighbourhood and report same promptly to the nearest police station.

    • Residents are encouraged to strengthen community vigilance and support local security initiatives, including community security committees.

    • In the event of any emergency or suspicious activity, promptly contact the Police through designated emergency lines or the nearest police formation.
