The FCT Coordinator of Arewa for Asiwaju, A4A, Alhaji Muhammed Kabir Shitu, has highlighted ongoing infrastructure and renewable energy projects of the Tinubu administration, saying they are signs of what he described as renewed hope in Nigeria.

Alhaji Shitu stated this at an Independence Day Unity Rally in Abuja to commemorate Nigeria’s sixty-sixth independence anniversary.

He said the occasion was not only a celebration of Nigeria’s independence but an opportunity to reflect on the country’s progress and the prospects of a better future.

The A4A FCT Coordinator said the administration’s investments in power, housing, roads and rail infrastructure were aimed at improving the quality of life of Nigerians.

On electricity, Alhaji Shitu cited the Rural Electrification Agency’s DARES programme, which he said is targeting the deployment of mini-grids and expanded access to electricity for millions of Nigerians.

He also highlighted the Energizing Education Programme, the Nigeria Electrification Project and the expansion of NASENI’s solar panel production facility in Karshi, Abuja.

Alhaji Shitu also pointed to the Renewed Hope City project in Karsana, Abuja, saying thousands of families are benefiting from new housing units, supported by improved road infrastructure.

He said projects such as the Calabar-Abuja Superhighway, new road networks in parts of Abuja and the Abuja Rail Mass Transit project demonstrate the administration’s focus on expanding transportation infrastructure.

The A4A Coordinator called on Nigerian youths, particularly members of the group’s Youth Ambassadors, to promote peace, responsible citizenship and truthful communication in their communities.

Also, the Deputy Director youth Affairs of the group, Murtala Muhammed Gamji called on the younger ones to take ownership of the development process and communicate government programmes peacefully and responsibly at the grassroots levels.

Mr. Gamji said Nigerians should continue to support President Tinubu’s efforts aimed at rebuilding infrastructure, expanding economic opportunities and strengthening national unity.
