Thousands of supporters gathered in Suleja Local Government Area to welcome Senator Muhammad Sani Musa, who used the rally to call for unity, purposeful leadership and grassroots development in Niger State.

The senator arrived to cheers from supporters who lined major roads, waved party flags and sang solidarity songs amid tight security.

Addressing the crowd, Senator Sani Musa said the turnout showed that residents were determined to shape a new political future for the state.

“What I am seeing today in Suleja is beyond politics. This is the voice of the people demanding progress, justice and purposeful leadership,” he said.

He promised to continue defending the interests of ordinary citizens and bringing development closer to the grassroots.

“No community will be forgotten under our leadership. The days when people suffered in silence are coming to an end. We are building a government that listens, responds and delivers,” he said.

The senator stressed that leadership should be judged by service, not political power alone.

“Power belongs to the people, and any leader who forgets the people has already failed. I stand before you today not as a ruler, but as your servant,” he said.

He also urged greater investment in youth through education, empowerment and employment, saying young people were the strength of the nation.

In an appeal for unity, he called on political stakeholders and citizens to put the interest of Niger State above personal ambitions and division.

“Politics should never divide our communities. Whether young or old, rich or poor, we all share one destiny. Together, we will move Niger State forward,” he said.

Community leaders, party stakeholders, women associations and youth groups at the rally endorsed his leadership, describing him as “a voice of the people” and “a symbol of grassroots politics.”

Residents described the gathering as one of the biggest political rallies in Suleja in recent years, with chants of “Sai Sani!” echoing across the venue.

The event ended with supporters pledging continued loyalty and mobilisation ahead of future political engagements in the state.
