The Society of Nigerian Broadcasters (SNB) has re-elected Prof. Umar Pate as its National President and Ado Saidu Warawa as the Zonal Vice President, North West.
The election was conducted today during the 3rd Annual National Conference of the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters (SNB) held in Bauchi State.
Also elected is Farida Abubakar, the SNB Kaduna State Coordinator, who emerged as the National Treasurer of the society.Farida Abubakar is currently the Executive Director, Radio, Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC).
The conference was attended by the Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency Auwal Jatau; NUJ National President, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya; Director-General of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN); Commissioners of Information from various states; media practitioners; broadcasters; academicians and other stakeholders in the media industry
The conference provided an opportunity for broadcasters and other media professionals from across the country to deliberate on issues affecting broadcasting and the future of the media industry in Nigeria.
The newly elected leadership is expected to continue advancing the objectives of the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters and promoting professionalism, unity and development within the broadcasting industry
