    The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Her Excellency Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, on Saturday represented Governor Senator Uba Sani, CON, as the Special Guest of Honour at the 2026 Access Bank-UNICEF Charity Shield Polo Tournament held at the Fifth Chukker Polo and Country Club, Maraban Jos, Kaduna State.

    The prestigious event attracted an array of distinguished personalities from across the country. Vice President Kashim Shettima was represented at the occasion by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia.

    Other dignitaries included the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajuddeen Abbas, the Governor of Niger State, His Excellency Umaru Mohammed Bago, and the Emir of Katsina, His Highness Alhaji Dr. Abdulmumuni Kabir Usman.

    The tournament, jointly hosted by Access Bank, UNICEF, and Fifth Chukker Polo and Country Club, commenced on May 30 and is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

    The charity polo tournament served as a platform for mobilizing support for UNICEF’s programmes aimed at improving the welfare and development of vulnerable children across Nigeria, while also promoting sportsmanship.
