In an effort to rid Delta State from criminal elements, troops of Headquarters 63 Brigade/Sector 1 Joint Task Force, South South Operation DELTA SAFE recovered seven rifles and two motorcycles during a raid operation at Ibusa in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.
A statement signed by Captain Iliyasu Bawa Rijau acting assistant director army public relations 63, brigade Nigerian army Asaba said the operation was conducted on 4 June 2026, while acting on credible intelligence. The arms and motorcycles were discovered in an abandoned police station within Ibusa community.
The Commander, 63 Brigade, Brigadier General Moronfolu Abdulmoshood Shonibare, commended the troops for their resilience and professionalism. He charged them to sustain the current operational tempo and maintain relentless pressure on criminal elements.
Therefore, he reiterated on the formation’s unwavering commitment to denying criminals freedom of action in the area and warned individuals and groups harbouring arms or engaging in criminal activities will face the full wrath of the law.
