    Tudun Wada DPO Visits FUE Zaria, Assures VC of Police Support

    The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Tudun Wada Police Division, SP Musa Yahaya, has paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Education, Zaria, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, assuring the Vice-Chancellor of the Police’s continued support on security.

    A statement signed by Sani Lawal maqarphy media aide to the VC said SP Yahaya, who met with the Vice-Chancellor, discussed security and other related matters. He said the Police remained committed to working with the University to maintain a peaceful and secure environment.

    He commended the University Management for the security measures it had put in place, noting that the University’s security arrangements had contributed to the peaceful environment within and around the institution.

    The DPO also acknowledged the positive working relationship between the Police and the University’s Security Unit and expressed the readiness of his division to sustain the cooperation.

    He said the Police would continue to make its personnel available whenever their support was required in matters concerning the safety and security of the University community.

    Responding, Prof. Bunkure expressed appreciation to SP Yahaya for the visit and for the continued cooperation and support of the Police towards the University.

    The Vice-Chancellor said the University valued its relationship with the Police and would continue to collaborate with the Force and other relevant security agencies towards safeguarding students, staff, visitors and University facilities.

    Prof. Bunkure appreciated the Police for their usual support during University activities, noting that their contribution had helped ensure the successful and peaceful conduct of recently held cultural carnivals.

    He expressed confidence that the existing partnership between the University and the Police would continue to grow stronger.
