The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Zaria, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, has announced the introduction of a special award for the best-performing students of the university, beginning from the 2025/2026 academic session.
This was contained in a statement signed by Sani Lawal maqarphy,media aide to the Vice Chancellor issued to newsmen.
It said the award, named “VC’s Best Students’ Award,” is aimed at recognising outstanding students from each department who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and excellence. It forms part of the Vice-Chancellor’s broader effort to promote a culture of scholarly progress and academic achievement within the institution.
Prof. Bunkure said the initiative reflects his administration’s commitment to student welfare, adding that he desires to see students dedicate themselves fully to their academic pursuits.
