The Village Head said the bridge was dilapidated for almost six years now, and nobody had shown commitment to fixi it, until Prof Ahmed came.

Salihu prayed for Prof Ahmed and wished him good health and successful tenure.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, thanked the Village Head and members of his delegation for the visit.

Ahmed, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Prof Bello Sabo, assured that the university would ensure the project was done to completion.

Community projects like that, according to him, were part of the corporate social responsibility of the university.

He expressed gratitude to the people of Panhauya and other host communities of the university for always cooperating with the institution.

The Village Head was in company of Mai Anguwan Ajiya, Alhaji Adamu Bawa; Sarkin Tudun Muntsira, Ibrahim Jume; Hon Mohammed Abubakar Shagari; Malam Abdul Abubakar Panhauya; and Anas Ibrahim.
