Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has called on residents to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying he deserves strong backing for his commitment to the state and the country.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson Sunusi Dawakin Tofa on Wednesday.

Yusuf made the call at the Government House while presenting the Certificate of Return to the newly elected member for Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency, Shu’aibu Rabi’u Nagogo.

The governor said Kano had reason to stand firmly behind Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He noted that the working relationship between the Kano State Government and the Federal Government had yielded positive results, and commended the president for supporting critical infrastructure and development projects in the state.

Yusuf described Tinubu as a leader committed to national unity and progress, and urged political leaders and stakeholders to remain united and strengthen the partnership between Kano and the federal government.

He congratulated Nagogo on his victory and expressed confidence that he would provide effective representation for Dawakin Kudu and Warawa Federal Constituency.

Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working with the Federal Government to advance policies and programmes aimed at improving citizens’ lives.
