As part of its sustained commitment to combating crime and enhancing public safety across Zamfara State, the Zamfara State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, carried out a joint security operation involving a show of force and coordinated raids on identified criminal hideouts within the Gusau metropolis.
The intelligence-led operation, which was conducted in collaboration with other security agencies, resulted in the arrest of forty-eight (48) suspects, including femaleeeeee suspects. All the suspects are currently undergoing investigation, after which those found culpable will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
Items recovered during the operation include seventeen (17) motorcycles, three (3) bicycles, one (1) generator, three (3) speakers, and three (3) drums suspected to have been abandoned by criminal elements.
The Commissioner of Police reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering resolve to rid the state of all forms of criminality and ensure the safety of lives and property. He warned criminals operating within the state to abandon their illegal activities or face decisive law enforcement action.
