The former Governor of Zamfara state, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has received with great shock and regret the ugly incident of a bandits attack at Kasuwar Daji village of Kaura Namoda local government area, which left one Army officer and one police officer dead, with two other soldiers wounded, while several residents of the village were kidnapped by the assailants.
A statement signed by Al’mansur Gusau, D.G Media Office of the Senator Representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar said Senator Yari extends his deepest condolences and sympathy to the immediate families of the deceased officers, the injured officers, the kidnapped people of Kasuwar Daji, the Kaura Namoda Emirate, the Theatre Commander of Operation Fansan Yamma, the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Zamfara State Government over this unfortunate attack.
While the Senator and other National Assembly members, especially those from Zamfara, are doing all that is humanly possible to ensure the restoration of peace and tranquility in Zamfara State, he urges security agencies to redouble their efforts to rid the state of all forms of banditry and other criminal activities, even as he acknowledges the sacrifices of the security forces at the frontline working round the clock to protect the innocent people of the state.
He also urges residents of the state to keep supporting security agencies with vital information about any terrorist activities to ease security operations across the state.
While praying for the repose of the departed souls, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar also prays for the safe return of the kidnapped people and to avert the future recurrence of such inidents.
