The Zamfara State Police Command, in commemoration of National Police Day, successfully carried out a community sanitation exercise alongside a free medical outreach program as part of its commitment to community service and public well-being.
A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Yazid Abubakar on behalf of the state commissioner of police said the sanitation exercise, conducted in key areas across the state, saw police officers actively participating in cleaning streets, clearing drainage systems, and promoting environmental hygiene.
It said the initiative was aimed at fostering a cleaner and healthier environment for residents while strengthening police-community relations.
In addition, the Command organized a medical outreach program which provided free medical consultations, basic health screenings, and distribution of essential medications to members of the public.
The outreach was facilitated by medical professionals who attended to various health concerns and educated beneficiaries on the importance of maintaining good health.
Speaking on the significance of the event, the Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command,Cp A .M Bello psc+,Mnips reiterated that National Police Day serves as an opportunity to not only celebrate the dedication and sacrifices of police personnel but also to give back to society through impactful community-based initiatives.
The Zamfara State Police Command remains steadfast in its resolve to ensure the safety and security of all citizens while also contributing to the overall development and welfare of the community.
