    ZAZCCIMA Briefs FUE Zaria VC on 2026 Summit Collaboration

    The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Zaria, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, FNIP, FSTAN, MNAE, has received a briefing from the Zazzau Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ZAZCCIMA) on preparations for the 3rd National Education, Trade, Innovation and Investment Summit (NATIIS) 2026.

    A statement signed by the media aide to the VC, Sani Lawal maqarphy said the briefing was presented by a delegation from ZAZCCIMA led by the Chairman of the Main Organising Committee, Malam Yahaya Garba (Garkuwan Madakin Zazzau), who updated the Vice-Chancellor on the progress made towards the successful hosting of the summit.

    It said the Federal University of Education, Zaria, is collaborating with ZAZCCIMA in organising and hosting the event, which is scheduled to hold from 30 October to 8 November 2026.

    Speaking during the briefing, Malam Yahaya Garba disclosed that the organising committee had made significant progress in its preparations and had initiated engagements with several organisations and stakeholders to strengthen partnerships for the summit.

    According to him, institutions already contacted include the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA), the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation (FMWRS), Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), National Institute for Leather Science and Technology (NILEST), National Research Institute for Chemical Technology (NARICT), Kaduna State Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), and several other organisations across the country.

    He further revealed that the summit would feature a wide range of activities, including the 1st Small and Medium Enterprises Clinic and Display, 1st National Exhibition on Edible Essential and Natural Oils, 1st National Transportation and Auto Parts Exhibition, 3rd National Farm Produce and Food Exhibition, and Taxpayer Education Day. He added that a display of Hausa material culture would also be incorporated into the programme to enrich the event and showcase the region’s rich cultural heritage.

    The organisers expect participants from across Nigeria and beyond, making the summit a major platform for education, trade, innovation, investment promotion, and networking opportunities.

    As a major collaborator, the Federal University of Education, Zaria, is expected to provide venues for seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and other activities. The University will also support efforts to facilitate state participation, sensitise stakeholders and the public, and provide necessary security arrangements.

    In addition, the University’s Directorate of Entrepreneurship Development will actively participate in the summit by showcasing students’ products and innovations while exploring opportunities for partnerships, mentorship, and support from participating organisations and investors.

    Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, commended ZAZCCIMA for its commitment towards promoting education, entrepreneurship, innovation and economic development through strategic partnerships, further describing the summit as a timely initiative that aligns with the University’s vision of fostering practical learning and skills development.

    Prof. Bunkure reaffirmed the University’s readiness to support the successful hosting of the summit and assured the organisers of the institution’s full cooperation. He noted that the event would provide a valuable platform for students, researchers, entrepreneurs and investors to interact, exchange ideas and explore opportunities capable of driving sustainable development.
