Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the appointment of four Special Advisers and a Senior Technical Assistant (STA) as part of efforts to strengthen governance and accelerate the post-insurgency recovery drive of his administration.

The newly appointed Special Advisers are Engr. Ali Goni Lawan, Hon. Ali Sheriff Galgal, Hon. Bukar Aliyu Daja and Hon. Makinta M. Zarami.

In a statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Dauda Iliya, said the appointments are pursuant to the powers conferred on the Governor under Section 196(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).

Governor Babagana Zulum also approved the appointment of Engr Gujja Bukar Dalori as Senior Technical Assistant (STA) on Reconstruction.

The statement adds that the appointments are aimed at reinforcing the administration’s commitment to effective governance, reconstruction and sustainable development after seventeen years of insurgency.

Governor Zulum congratulated the appointees and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedication and selfless service.

He also charged them to deploy their wealth of experience and expertise to advance his administration’s vision of rebuilding communities, consolidating peace, and delivering quality service to the people of Borno State.
