    Adamawa SDP guber-candidate pledge Agricultural Revolution if elected in 2027

    The Adamawa state Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic party,(SDP) Mr. Christopher Nathaniel has pledge to revamp Agricultural sector with a view to harness its vast potentials that are fully tapped.

    Nathaniel opined that the sector alone if properly managed can take the state to a high level of industrialization noting the rice and livestock production is enough to make Adamawa great with its GDP of 40% coming from the poorly handled livestock development.

    Nathaniel made the pledge during an interview with journalists on Friday in Yola stressing that with the large number of cattle in the state,organic farming can be encouraged to reduce chemical based farming being practiced now adays which is becoming a source of concern due to advent of different diseases in our communities.

    According to him the production of local rice in huge commercial quantity that entrepreneurs are trooping to the state especially in Tingno location in Lamurde local government area and Gurin in fufore council just to buy the cultivated rice and taken to other parts of the country for milling and business purposes.

    He assured that,if given the mandate his government will build a formidable rice processing company that can provide employment opportunities to teeming youths in the state.

    He also said that,the Kiri Dam in shelleng local government area will be use to generate hydro electricity energy for the use of the people and industrialization of the different citing the Dadi kowa dam in Gombe state .

    “In fact I have so many ideas in my head which will be strictly used for the rapid transformation of Adamawa state.

    “Under my watch if given the mandate by the Adamawa electorate come 2027, our administration will constitute a solid committee of stakeholders with one representative from the 226 wards in the state because every decision must have their approval before implementation.

    “We intend to provide a good working health care delivery system where women will assist free delivery services in all the health care facilities across the state”. Nathaniel emphasized.
