The North Central Grassroots Mobilisation Network has announced its plans to hold a mega political rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
A statement signed by Bologi Ibrahim Chief Press Secretary to the Governor said the rally is to demonstrate the region’s collective support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, in the 2027 general elections.

All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda disclosed this at a press briefing shortly after the meeting of the party’s stakeholders from North Central under the auspices of the “North Central Grassroots Mobilisation Network for Tinubu and Shetima 2027”.
He said the stakeholders resolved that the rally will be held at Lafia, Nasarawa State, with the wife of the president, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, as the headline quest.
The meeting was attended by Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, his counterparts from other North Central states, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, ministers, members of the National Assembly and other political office holders across the region.
“Governors, ministers, legislators and other political stakeholders from the North Central region had unanimously agreed to fully mobilise their respective political structures and supporters for the rally”, he said.

Prof. Yilwatda said the rally will be “the mother of all rallies”, with the objective of ensuring President Tinubu and his vice are re-elected in the 2027 general elections.
He assured of full participation and commitment of party leaders, women, youth groups, grassroots organisations and supporters from across the six North Central states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the National Chairman, “the meeting reflected a shared determination among participating stakeholders to coordinate their activities and strengthen grassroots engagement in support of the Tinubu/Shettima ticket,” he said.
The meeting acknowledged the leadership of Sen. George Akume for bringing together political stakeholders from across the North Central region and commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for agreeing to host the rally in Nasarawa State.

The APC National Chairman used the forum to express the condolences of the stakeholders to the families of the victims of the aircraft crash of the Nigeria Air Force in Ondo State, the families of the artisanal miners in Niger State, and victims of a boat mishap in Benue State.
He described the incidents as painful losses not only to the families of the victims but also tothe entire nation.
