Niger State Governor Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has been screened ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries.
A statement signed by the chief press secretary to the Governor, Bologi Ibrahim said the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, led the screening committee at the Plateau State liaison office, Abuja
Farmer governor Umaru Bago of Niger State is the consensus candidate of the APC for the governorship seat in the 2027 general elections.
The successful screening of the farmer governor and being the consensus candidate of the APC, the stage has been set for him to contest his re-election bid with opposition candidates in the 2027 general elections.
House of Representatives member representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency, Saidu Musa Abdullahi, former Federal lawmaker of Suleja/Gurara/Tafa Federal Constituency, Abubakar Lado, and several associates of the farmer governor accompanied him to the screening venue.
