    FUNTUA LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN PRESENTS BRAND-NEW VEHICLES TO TUDUN IYA AND DUKKE WARD COUNCILLORS

    The Chairman of Funtua Local Government Council, Alhaji Abdulmutallab Jibrin Sulaiman Goya, has presented two brand-new Peugeot 307 vehicles to the councillors representing Tudun Iya and Dukke wards during a ceremony held at the Funtua Local Government Secretariat premises.

    With the latest presentation, the number of councillors who have received official vehicles has risen to Eight, while the remaining Three councillors are expected to receive theirs in the near future, bringing the total to Eleven councillors

    A statement signed by Bashir Yero Information Officer Funtua Local Government Council Katsina State said the event was attended by councillors, members of the Local Government Executive Council, staff of the council, political leaders, stakeholders and a large number of residents of Funtua Local Government Area.

    Speaking during the ceremony, the Chairman, Alhaji Abdulmutallab Jibrin Sulaiman Goya, said that despite the limited monthly allocations available to the council, his administration has remained committed to delivering development projects and fulfilling the directives of the Executive Governor of Katsina State.

    He added that only three more vehicles remain to be procured to ensure that all the eleven councillors of the local government are provided with official vehicles.

    The Chairman expressed appreciation to the councillors, staff, political leaders, stakeholders and the people of Funtua Local Government for their unwavering support and cooperation, which he described as instrumental to the progress being recorded by the council.

    He also appealed to residents to continue praying for sustained peace and improved security in Funtua Local Government Area, Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole.

    Alhaji Abdulmutallab Goya further commended the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, for his continuous support and commitment to the development of Funtua Local Government through various interventions.

    Earlier in his remarks, the Head of local Government Administration of the Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Yahaya Malumfashi, disclosed that the vehicles were purchased from the council’s monthly allocations through prudent financial management.

    He assured that the remaining three councillors would receive their official vehicles without delay.

    In their separate remarks, the APC Chairman of Funtua Local Government, Barrister Muhammad Sani, who was represented by the party’s Financial Secretary, Alhaji Babangida Bala (B.B. Oil), alongside the APC Chairman of Goya Ward, Alhaji Kabir Ibrahim, commended the Local Government Chairman and the Governor of Katsina State for their people-oriented projects and developmental initiatives.

    They noted that such achievements have continued to strengthen the popularity of the APC and attract more support from the electorate.

    In his vote of thanks, the Speaker of the Funtua Local Government Legislative Council, Honourable Abdullahi Mai Turare, expressed appreciation to the Local Government Chairman for implementing the Governor’s directive to provide an official vehicle for every councillor, thereby enhancing effective service delivery.

    He further stressed that the cordial working relationship between the Legislative Council and the Local Government Executive Council has been a major factor behind the remarkable achievements and developmental strides recorded by Funtua Local Government within and beyond Katsina State

    The Speaker reaffirmed the commitment of the councillors to continue supporting the administration in implementing policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people and accelerating the development of Funtua Local Government Area.
