Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has sympathised with the Chairman of Ingawa Local Government Area, Alhaji Abubakar Idris, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Maryama Idris Sanda.
A statement signed by Ibrahim kaula Mohammad chief press secretary to the Govenor said Governor Radda paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased at their residence in Ingawa Town, where he joined relatives, friends and community members in mourning her passing.
The Governor described the death of Hajiya Maryama as a great loss to her family and the community, praying to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and admit her into Aljannatul Firdaus.
“We have come to share in your grief and to pray for the repose of the soul of Hajiya Maryama Idris Sanda. May Almighty Allah forgive her, grant her Aljannatul Firdaus and give the entire family the strength and patience to bear this painful loss,” Governor Radda said.
He said the late Hajiya Maryama lived a life of faith, humility and service to others, adding that her good character would continue to be remembered by all who knew her.
“She lived a pious and exemplary life that is worthy of emulation. We pray that Allah rewards her with the best place in Paradise and comforts everyone she left behind,” the Governor added.
Speaking on behalf of the family and the people of Ingawa, the All Progressives Congress candidate for the Kankia/Kusada/Ingawa Federal Constituency, Alhaji Mustapha Kanti Bello, thanked Governor Radda for taking the time to personally visit and console the family.
He said the Governor’s presence and prayers had brought comfort to the bereaved family and prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to guide and bless him in the service of the people of Katsina State.
Also present during the condolence visit were the Chief of Staff, Government House, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji; members of the Katsina State Executive Council, Islamic scholars, community leaders and other dignitaries.
