Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, will today Wednesday 7th October, 2026, flag off a mega empowerment programme initiated by the Director-General, Katsina State Bureau of Statistics, Professor Saifullahi Sani Ibrahim Matazu.
The programme, tagged “Katsina Rises Again 2.0″, will see the distribution of over 3,000 educational materials and textbooks to students across Matazu Local Government Area.
The intervention builds on the first edition where students with a GPA of 3.5 and above received N100,000 each as academic support.

In addition, 100 women will be supported with start-up capital to establish and strengthen small businesses.

The initiative is in line with Governor Radda’s Building Your Future agenda, which prioritizes human capital development, education and economic empowerment at the grassroots.
The flag-off ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 AM at the Matazu Local Government Secretariat.
